As mention in the earlier blog post you can set the posting period by providing start period date and end period date.
However there are different combinations you can use when providing the date ranges. In this blog post I am going to discuss only about 3 main possibilities that can be used when assigning date ranges.
With Start Date and End Date
If you provide both the Start Date and End Date, then system will only allow users to post transaction on the period that relies between the start and end date.
Only with the Start Date
If you only provide the Start Date then system will allow users to post the transaction if the transaction date is larger than the start date specified.
Only with the End Date
If you only provide the End Date then system will allow users to post the transaction if the transaction date is smaller than the end date specified.
These are the combinations that can be used to restrict the posting period.
