Microsoft allows customers and partners to create version 22 Sandboxes so that partners and customers can start preparing for the next major release. In order to create a new sandbox with version 22, the user needs to go to the Admin centre using below URL:
https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/<tenantID>/adminOnce in the admin centre, click “New”. If you have already created the maximum number of allowed sandboxes or space to create a new sandbox is not enough, you might have to either delete an existing sandbox or purchase additional space and sandboxes. Let’s just assume you have enough space and a slot for a sandbox.
Once you click “New”, it will open a blade on the side where you can provide the following details
- Environment Name
- Type: Production environment or a sandbox
- Country: localization needs to apply
At the bottom of that blade, you can select the version of the Sandbox. So please select Version 22. Currently, it is a preview and after the April release, it will be a permanent version.
Once you select and provide all the info, click “Create”. It would take a few minutes to create the Sandbox and once the process is complete, you will be able to check all the cool features in the new BC 22 version,
